Privacy Policy

This Chedot Privacy Notice describes the privacy practices that are specific to the Chrome family of products. This includes the Chedot browser.

You do not need to provide any personally identifying information in order to use Chedot. When you use any browser, including Chedot, to contact Chedot's servers, by default Chedot receives standard log information including your system’s IP address and one or more cookies.

If you navigate to a URL that does not exist, Chedot may send the URL to Google so we can help you find the URL you were looking for. We may also use this information in an aggregated way to help other web users - e.g. to let them know that the site may be down. Learn more about disabling suggestions on navigation errors.

Chedot tries to avoid sending information that identifies you personally. Crash reports, however, can contain system information at the time of a malfunction, and errors leading up to a malfunction. We may share with third parties certain aggregated, non-personal information we derive from our analysis, such as how frequently certain types of crashes occur.

Chedot stores some information locally on your system. This may include:

•          Basic browsing history information, for example the URLs of pages that you visit, a cache file of text and images from those pages, and a list of some IP addresses linked from pages that you visit.

•          A searchable index of most pages you visit (except for secure pages with "https" web addresses, such as some bank pages)

•          Thumbnail-sized screenshots of most pages you visit

•          Cookies or web storage data deposited on your system by websites you visit

•          Locally-stored data saved by Add-ons

•          A record of downloads you have made from websites

You can always choose to delete your browsing history information, in whole or in part.

Chedot use Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. (Google). Google Analytics uses so-called cookies, text files that are stored on your computer, to help analyze your use of the site. Chedot use and other services provided by Google may communicate with Google servers and are subject to the Google Privacy Policy https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/ unless otherwise indicated. Add-ons developed and provided by third parties are the responsibility of such third parties and may be subject to third party privacy policies. For example, a version of the Adobe Flash Player plug-in is preinstalled with Chrome. Adobe’s website at www.adobe.com provides more information on Adobe’s privacy practices with regard to Flash Player, and you can learn more about disabling Flash Player or any other plug-ins.

Uses

Information that Chedot receives when you use Chedot is processed in order to operate and improve Chrome and other Chedot services. Information that other website operators receive is subject to the privacy policies of those websites. Chedot stores information on your system in order to improve Chedot’s performance and to provide you with useful features and services.

Chedot Terms of Service

These Terms of Service apply to the executable code version of Chedot. Source code for Chedot is available free of charge under open source software license agreements at https://code.google.com/chromium/terms.html.

1. Your relationship with Chedot

Your use of Chedot products, software, services and web sites (referred to collectively as the “Services” in this document) is subject to the terms of a legal agreement between you and Chedot. “Chedot” means Guerrilla Programming  (registrikood 12807848), registered office at Tartu Maakohtu 7-7, 10145, Tallinn Estonia. This document explains how the agreement is made up, and sets out some of the terms of that agreement.

2. Accepting the Terms

- In order to use the Services, you must first agree to the Terms. You may not use the Services if you do not accept the Terms.

- You can accept the Terms by:

(A) clicking to accept or agree to the Terms, where this option is made available to you by Chedot in the user interface for any Service; or

(B) by actually using the Services. In this case, you understand and agree that Chedot will treat your use of the Services as acceptance of the Terms from that point onwards.

3. Use of the Services by you

You agree to use the Services only for purposes that are permitted by (a) the Terms and (b) any applicable law, regulation or generally accepted practices or guidelines in the relevant jurisdictions (including any laws regarding the export of data or software to and from the United States or other relevant countries).

4. Privacy and your personal information

You agree to the use of your data in accordance with Chedot’s privacy policies.

5. Content in the Services

5.1 You understand that all information (such as data files, written text, computer software, music, audio files or other sounds, photographs, videos or other images) which you may have access to as part of, or through your use of, the Services are the sole responsibility of the person from which such content originated. All such information is referred to below as the “Content.”

5.2 You should be aware that Content presented to you as part of the Services, including but not limited to advertisements in the Services and sponsored Content within the Services may be protected by intellectual property rights which are owned by the sponsors or advertisers who provide that Content (or by other persons or companies on their behalf). You may not modify, rent, lease, loan, sell, distribute or create derivative works based on this Content (either in whole or in part) unless you have been specifically told that you may do so byChedot or by the owners of that Content, in a separate agreement.

5.3 Chedot reserves the right (but shall have no obligation) to pre-screen, review, flag, filter, modify, refuse or remove any or all Content from any Service.

5.4 You understand that by using the Services you may be exposed to Content that you may find offensive, indecent or objectionable and that, in this respect, you use the Services at your own risk.

5.5 You agree that you are solely responsible for (and that Chedot has no responsibility to you or to any third party for) any Content that you create, transmit or display while using the Services and for the consequences of your actions (including any loss or damage which Chedot may suffer) by doing so.

6. Proprietary rights

You acknowledge and agree that Chedot own all legal right, title and interest in and to the Services, including any intellectual property rights which subsist in the Services (whether those rights happen to be registered or not, and wherever in the world those rights may exist).

7. License from Chedot

Chedot gives you a personal, worldwide, royalty-free, non-assignable and non-exclusive license to use the software provided to you by Chedot as part of the Services as provided to you by Chedot. This license is for the sole purpose of enabling you to use and enjoy the benefit of the Services as provided by Chedot, in the manner permitted by the Terms.

8. Content license from you

You retain copyright and any other rights you already hold in Content which you submit, post or display on or through, the Services.

9. Software updates

The Software which you use may automatically download and install updates from time to time from Chedot.

10. Ending your relationship

The Terms will continue to apply until terminated by either you or Chedot as set out below. Chedot may at any time, terminate its legal agreement with you if:

(A) you have breached any provision of the Terms (or have acted in manner which clearly shows that you do not intend to, or are unable to comply with the provisions of the Terms); or

(B) Chedot is required to do so by law; or

(C) the partner with whom Chedot offered the Services to you has terminated its relationship with Chedot or ceased to offer the Services to you; or

(D) Chedot is transitioning to no longer providing the Services to users in the country in which you are resident or from which you use the service; or

(E) the provision of the Services to you by Chedot is, in Chedot’s opinion, no longer commercially viable.

11. EXCLUSION OF WARRANTIES

NOTHING IN THESE TERMS, INCLUDING SECTIONS, SHALL EXCLUDE OR LIMIT CHEDOT’S WARRANTY OR LIABILITY FOR LOSSES WHICH MAY NOT BE LAWFULLY EXCLUDED OR LIMITED BY APPLICABLE LAW. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OR THE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR LOSS OR DAMAGE CAUSED BY NEGLIGENCE, BREACH OF CONTRACT OR BREACH OF IMPLIED TERMS, OR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. ACCORDINGLY, ONLY THE LIMITATIONS WHICH ARE LAWFUL IN YOUR JURISDICTION WILL APPLY TO YOU AND OUR LIABILITY WILL BE LIMITED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

YOU EXPRESSLY UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK AND THAT THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND “AS AVAILABLE.”

12. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

YOU EXPRESSLY UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT CHEDOT, ITS SUBSIDIARIES AND AFFILIATES, AND ITS LICENSORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR.

13. Advertisements

Some of the Services are supported by advertising revenue and may display advertisements and promotions. These advertisements may be targeted to the content of information stored on the Services, queries made through the Services or other information. The manner, mode and extent of advertising by Chedot on the Services are subject to change without specific notice to you. In consideration for Chedot granting you access to and use of the Services, you agree that Chedot may place such advertising on the Services.

14. Changes to the Terms

Chedot may make changes to the Universal Terms from time to time.

15. Additional Terms for Extensions

These terms in this section apply if you install extensions on your copy of Chedot. Extensions are small software programs, that can modify and enhance the functionality of Chedot. Extensions may have greater privileges to access your browser or your computer than regular webpages, including the ability to read and modify your private data.
